Capacitors connected at both ends of termination resistor located at QFN IC pins to grounded PAD under QFN IC used to simulate different conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group wp-block-paragraph\">More parasitic pins capacitance, more front edge of waveform is attenuated by reflected wave.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Proper approach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is need for forward channel simulation performed by oscilloscope called \u201cdeembedding\u201d.<br>To make it happen we need to have probe tip model or the best S-parameters and also IC packaging and receiver parasitic specification.<br>Here we are dealing with differential pair thus 4 port S-parameters are used.<br>Oscilloscope gets signal from differential probe thus 2-port S-parameters are needed.<br>Building this signal chain in software like Keysight ADS and creating transmission channel S21 parameters we can feed them into oscilloscope to enable channel deembedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally we see that signal received internally by IC does not look so bad.<\/p>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
