He reported to me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201ePower converter is not stable. We can see about 9, 18kHz components. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/noise.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/noise.png 640w, https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/noise-300x225.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">It is not DCDC converter instability!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tweaking point of triggering and time basis we can see modulating signal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From theory or operation that certain DCDC converter we can clearly see triangular waveform with random square modulation at the top of it. This exactly matches with previous oscilloscope observations.<\/p>\n<\/div><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"493\" height=\"233\" src=\"https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/modulation_signal.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-440 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/modulation_signal.jpg 493w, https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/modulation_signal-300x142.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 493px) 100vw, 493px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rationale<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Typical low frequency conducted noise measurements are performed in range 150KHz up to 30MHz with RBW=9KHz. What we see is about 9KHz triangular modulation aming to \u2018smear\u2019 energy captured by 9kHZ RBW what finally reduces its peak value.<br>From previous design notes we know that in acusstic range capacitors can generate audible noise. The same 9kHz modulation frequency is also not sufficient at higher frequencies above 30MHz where RBW is increased up to 120kHz. Solution to both probles is second modulating signal. Its pseudorandom digital wave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Magnetic field spectrum above converter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Capturing magnetic field spectrum above converter we can see that energy peaks are wider than for typical continous condution mode converter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"515\" src=\"https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/magnetic_field_over_inductor-1024x515.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-439\" srcset=\"https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/magnetic_field_over_inductor-1024x515.png 1024w, https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/magnetic_field_over_inductor-300x151.png 300w, https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/magnetic_field_over_inductor-768x386.png 768w, https:\/\/labirue.pl\/webpage\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/magnetic_field_over_inductor.png 1136w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Magnetic spectrum over inductor and power loop.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-nowrap is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-461897f4 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are much more specific DCDC converter on the market which aim into different problems.
